The Remote Backup Solution For Your Business

Indy-Backup.com

How It Works

Backup_process

1. Our backup client software installs on the computer you use to consolidate your business files (Client Data Server in the diagram). The client software waits until everyone has finished working for the day, and then automatically performs the backup with no user intervention.

2. The following morning, once the backup has finished, the data server notifies the email server of the backup. Along with this notification are some statistics, including the size of the backup, the names of the files that were backed up, and the time the backup took to complete.

3. The email server processes these statistics, and prepares a daily email for you, and anyone else whom you wish to recieve notification. This email is your confirmation that the backup was successfull, and your peace-of-mind for the day that your business's critical data is secure.

The client program connects to the secure Indy-Backup.com data server, and compares the current files with those from previous backups. If it detects any modified files, the software does a more in-depth scan of the data, and finds the bits of the file that differ. These are the only bits of the file that get uploaded.

A large report or billing database could be many hundreds of megabytes in size, but usually only less than 1% of this data is actually modified over the course of the day. This difference is what makes Indy-Backup.com economically and technically superior.
